How it Began
December of 2003 - I wanted to get my dad and brother a hockey stick putter for Christmas. I had searched the Internet for days and couldn't find anything close to what I wanted. Christmas that year came and went but I couldn't get the concept out of my head. It was at that time that I started to carve a putter out of a hunk of wood in my brother's basement that resembled a hockey stick .
After finishing the wooden Hockey Stick Putter, I found that although it looked like a Hockey Stick Putter, it wasn't functional. I then began designing the Hockey Stick Putter you see today. A real precision weighted putter. I took no short cuts. I wanted the putter to be something you could actually use on the golf course.
Three years later I realized my dream. This Hockey Stick Putter has a compression molded graphite shaft with a cast aluminum head. The weight and balance is that of a real golf putter. People still ask me today, "Can you actually use it?" And I say, "of course you can, I spent the last 3 years designing it so you can!"
About the Inventor
Growing up in Minnesota, hockey was a way of life. At the age of two I laced up my first pair of skates and skated for endless nights on a rink my dad built in our backyard. At the age of five I was playing on my first hockey team and have been playing ever since.
In 1995 I was selected to play on the USA Under 17 National Hockey Team to compete in the World Hockey Championships in Canada. After playing 4 years of Division I college hockey, I turned my attention to golf. It is such a challenge and a natural transition from hockey.
